If you were expecting the iPhone 14 range to come in a wide range of colors, you might be in luck, as the latest leak suggests all four models could be offered in eight different shades.
This is based on unofficial iPhone case images shared on Twitter by Majin Bu (opens in new tab) – a leaker with a reasonable track record.
While the cases are unofficial, they are seemingly identical clones of the official iPhone 14 cases. Also, the colors of the iPhone cases sometimes match the shades you can place the phones in, so we can speculate that at least some of the eight colors shown here may match the colors the iPhone 14 lineup comes in.

Specifically, this would mean a choice of midnight (black), juicy (pale green), chalk pink, red, lilac, sunshine (yellow), storm blue (blue), and elderberry (purple).
spending a little previous tweets (opens in new tab) from Bu, cases in these colors are apparently being made for all four iPhone 14 models – the standard iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Max, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, which suggests that all four phones can be offered in the same eight shades.
However, we would take this with a pinch of salt. For one, Majin Bu doesn’t seem entirely sure these are the official box colors – and even if they are, that doesn’t mean they’ll all line up with the colors the phones are sold in.
On the other hand, these colors don’t fully match previous leaks, which suggested that we would see the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max in purple, green, black, white, blue and red, while the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max would arrive in gold. , purple, green, graphite and silver.
So if this latest leak is right, the total color gamut this year might be smaller, but with them being the same across all phones, each individual handset would have a wider selection. On the other hand, that could just mean you’ll be able to get cases in these colors, with the phones themselves being different.
Analysis: This doesn’t seem likely
We are extremely skeptical that these colors will be the selection offered in the iPhone 14 lineup. Not only do these hues not match previous leaks, but based on the former shape, it would be unusual for Apple to offer all iPhone 14 models in the same hues, as they normally do. the company offers the Pro phones in a slightly different color selection.
Eight colors would also be more than what the company generally offers for any one model, so we think it’s unlikely that this selection will be offered on any iPhone 14 model, let alone all of them.
There is a high chance that some of these colors are right. Black and red, for example, were the colors of the iPhone 13 and are shades Apple usually offers, and we’ve heard a lot of rumors of a purple hue. But we’d be extremely surprised if all the colors shown here match Apple’s upcoming phones.
